Fenty Mascara

So one fun fact that you should know about me is that I love Rihanna. Like I LOVE Rihanna. Another fun fact about me is that I love mascara. There's nothing that makes me feel more put together than some freshly coated lashes. So, naturally, when Rihanna launched her makeup line I commented on almost every single one of Fenty's Instagram posts asking when they would be dropping a mascara for what feels like an eternity. And now.... The. Wait. Is. Over. Did I buy this mascara the day it came out? You bet I did.

However, I wanted to give this mascara a few weeks before I posted my review of it, because I wanted to see how it lasted both on my eyes and in the tube.

So the thing that is supposed to make Fenty's mascara revolutionary is their flat to fat brush. The skinny, or flat, side of the brush is supposed to lengthen while the fat side is supposed to add volume.

I wanted to see the difference between the two sides. Below is what my natural lashes look like sans mascara and lash curling.

So the application began. It was not too hard to just stick with one side of the brush. It looks a little intimidating at first, but it was pretty simple to pick a side and stick with it. I will say that the flat side was nice for the corners of my eyes. I have some lashes in the inner and outer corner of my eyes that are very hard to coat in mascara without making a mess.

Now, just based on these two pictures alone they look pretty similar, but I will say I got more length with the flat side. Volume-wise, I feel like they were about the same although I think that the fat side is a little clumpy.

So this mascara is definitely flake-resistant and long lasting. It lasted through a Friday night with still plenty of length and volume- no flakes. However, it was kind of hard to remove on my lower lash line at the end of the night. I still had remnants the next morning. 

All in all, this is a Kel Yeah buy! 10/10 would buy again and again and again. Definitely will be stocking up on this product in my next haul.
